Plain-language terms for a small business product. By creating an account or using MELV you agree to them.
1. The service
MELV is a hosted customer-relationship and business-development application for real-estate and home-services businesses, provided over the internet on a subscription basis.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at security@getmelv.com if you believe an account has been compromised. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for the business you register.
3. Subscription and payment
Pricing is published on our website. Subscriptions run month to month unless agreed otherwise. There is no setup fee and no minimum term. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refunded for partial periods.
4. Your data stays yours
You own the data you put into MELV. We claim no ownership of it. We process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy page. You can export your contacts and call history as CSV at any time while your account is active.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use MELV to send unlawful communications, to store data you have no right to hold, to attempt to access another customer's data, to probe or disrupt the service, or to resell access without our written agreement. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your own calling and marketing activity, including telemarketing and do-not-call rules.
6. Availability
We aim to keep MELV available and to give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not offer an uptime service level agreement, and the service is provided as-is. We may change or discontinue features; where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.
7. Third-party services
Some features depend on services you connect, such as PhoneBurner for calling. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or their acts.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business opportunity.
9. Termination
You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that is used unlawfully, and will tell you why. After termination we will delete your data in line with our Privacy page.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the application before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.
